The BG250 has a smaller resonator, and no flange - t-plates are used to
attach
the resonator, which is not as stable as the one piece flange. The BG250F
has a
standard sized one piece flange, just like the Gibson and other
professional
banjos, and also a standard sized resonator. It is not only physically
more
stable, but projects the sound a bit more than the BG250.
