Using the Fine Tuners on your Fiddle To use the fine tuners on the fiddle:
1. Loosen each fine tuner so it will have room to be tightened.
2. Tune the string up to pitch using the friction tuners on the peghead.
3. When the string slightly goes out of pitch, turn the fine tuning screw. Usually, it requires slightly tightening the screw - if the tone has gone flat. Slightly loosen the screw if the tone is too high. This is only for slight pitch corrections, but it saves a lot of time, and is an easy way to get the string exactly in tune and keep it in tune while you are playing.
