We got your Gallagher DWS yesterday in perfect condition. It is a
beautiful guitar. I took the day off today just to stay home and play it.
It has a character all its own. The neck feels like it's made out of steel.
I guess that's why the guitar has such unbelievable sustain. And I love the
1 and 3/4 inch width. I finally have enough room. It's almost effortless
to play. The most notable characteristic of this guitar is the very clear
separation among notes. I have several very nice Martin guitars (000-28 VS,
HD-35, D-28CW) and this Gallagher produces the best clarity/note separation
of the bunch. With the wider neck, the Gallagher is also nice to fingerpick
on. I can see why Doc called his Old Hoss. This guitar is built like a
brick ----house. I think it will become my workhorse too. Thanks for

Feel free to use any of my comments on your web page. I don't know if I
mentioned it or not, but I also bought a new Martin Special Edition model
D-18GE a couple months ago. Without going into too much detail, I'll just
say that the Martin's a chevy and the Gallagher's a Cadillac. In every way.
Needless to say, I've bought my last Martin.
