Dobro® Resonator Guitars by Gibson Square Neck Dobros® Wood Body - The Squareneck model is the primary resonator guitar used in Bluegrass Music.  It is also popular in country music.  This is played as a lap style instrument and requires a steel  (slide)  for the left hand. The Roundneck is often used for blues and country music. This instrument is fretted with the left fingers exactly like a standard guitar. A slide which slips over the finger can be used with this instrument.
