Gibson SJ-200EC Modern Classic Acoustic Guitar
One of the worlds most recognizable guitars.
Gibson's Super Jumbo guitar shape has become
an icon and is associated with a vast number of artists
in a wide range of musical styles. If one chooses to
play this guitar it is assumed that they will instantly sound
like Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, or even Elvis.
The first Super Jumbo was made in 1937 by Gibson
and was used largely by "the singing cowboys of the silver
screen." Since then this guitar has gained ranking among
the most successful flat-tops ever made. With it's unique
adjustable mustache bridge and saddle, hand painted
pickguard, crown fingerboard inlay, AAA flamed maple
back and sides, gold Grover tuners, and large butterfly
style peghead, it is no wonder that this is truly the one
of the world's most recognizable guitars.
The Super Jumbo has the largest soundbox of any
other instrument on the market. Obviously it has the sound
to boot. The bass is so deep and rich while the trebles
ring for days. This guitar is used by a range of talented
musicians today across many styles, proving that the
great tone and great looks are timeless.
Even with all the changes this country has
faced in the last seventy years, the SJ-200 remains
the flagship model for Gibson and the world alike.
