The Phantom Heli-Mount couples the revolutionary Heli-Mount design with a good idea, long ignored by banjo builders: the tunneled fifth string. This concept allows for the elimination of the side-mounted fifth string peg that can get in the way, especially if you use your thumb for fretting the fifth string. The 5th string disappears into the neck just behind the fifth fret, travels through a brass tube and neatly comes out on the peghead and attaches to a tuner there.
