I just recieved my new Snuffy Smith Bridge and I want to tell you that my banjo never sounded better.
Thanks to the guidance from (I think it was Tom in tech support) in choosing the correct bridge it only
took him a few minutes after describing the buzz problem, was he able to come up with the solution.
My hammer ons and slides are the cleanest I have ever heard on this bango.
NO MORE BUZZ!.
My sincere thanks to him and especially for the super fast delivery.
I will be returning to Janet Davis Music for ALL my future needs.
I must tell you one more thing,
I learned how to play the banjo from one of your CDs and was pickin in only 4 weeks.
It is just great!.

I have it installed...it took a little tweaking until I had the intonation right...wouldn't have known about that if I hadn't been a mandolin player...anyway, it sounds great. I am amazed that a little piece of maple could make such a difference. I don't know the difference between the two bridges as they look similar....the ebony piece is bigger and thicker on the SS as is the base...but wow...this made a huge difference. The volume is almost deafening and the tone improved dramatically. It was like I went from a toy banjo to a quality banjo. Again, I can't believe a little piece of wood makes such a huge difference.

Hi.
Have just received the SS bridge and put it on my venerable ODE type C and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I've rung the changes with every bridge/string combination I could find here in the UK but that 4th string just wouldn't sound right, and my push-offs were really "wimpy" no matter how hard I tried. Now they're just .....there! Boy, was that ever worth the money.
Nice little touch on the customs declaration by the way - "educational equipment" - I like it. Well, strictly speaking that's true, right? I know more about the banjo than I did when I got up this morning.
